EXOTICS
We have a ready stock of 2 exotics materials for use
in making our lamps and shades.
The Calico material, code F2, is handwrapped around a PVC substrate, and is the only material we
send off site to get finished. Because of this, not all shapes and sizes are readily available
in the Calico material, and there may sometimes be a delay in ordering these products if we are
out of stock. Despite this, it is one of our most popular materials, as it gives not only a
warming glow, but has texture and depth to the shades that is hard to capture any other way.
The Seagrass weave, code C8, is a close knit paper based weave. Along with our moiré materials, it
is one of the few materials that do not need any PVC substrate at all, the material is rigid all
by itself. Allowing only small amounts of light through - shedding colour, more than light, it
is a dark material, but extremely popular and fitting in country pubs and the like, in small cones,
and candle clip shades.
